Summary strategy launched - what does the workforce strategy mean to me?

Another piece of paper?  Far from it.  Whilst social care organisations can’t wave a magic wand and make working in social care the perfect job, the new strategy has been put together by a range of organisations based on what you’ve said you think about:

  • what you like about working in social care, and what you don’t
  • what would help to make things easier for you to do your best at work
  • what you need to feel valued and to keep working in your vocation

and much more…

From that, organisations have built the strategy to bring organisations across the county to work much closer together to pool expertise and resources, training and support – so that we have a more resilient and happy workforce.

Our mission is to develop a more resilient care sector that supports more effective recruitment and retention in adults’ and children’s social care, based on person-centred and innovative ways of working.

Through our themes of a more resilient workforce, more effective recruitment, more effective retention and more innovative working, actions for the five-year plan are already underway, with priority actions over the next two years that will make a big difference to everyone.
